ironguides @ Boy's Town

Last Saturday, 3 ironguides athletes and myself ran a brick training for 40 boys from Boy's Town who are preparing for the OSIM Triathlon Sprint and Mini distances.

These 12 - 16 year old boys are "at risk" juvenile offenders, some of them orphans, picked up by social workers for rehabilitation. Boy's Town offers them a caring and understanding environment to channel their energy positively.

Needless to say, we all had a great time, in spite of some over active jellyfish! The boys enjoyed full support with 2 aid stations on the multi-loop swim/ run course that took them through some very pretty scenery (a huge beach volley ball gathering at the run turn-around).

Thank you Mike, Elvia and Olivier for your help! We were truely blessed to give back to community through the sport that we love-  it was clearly a case of "better to give than to receive", and we'd do it again any day!
